Master Level Yoga Course (2000 hour)

This Master Level Course is a Continuing Education program for sincere yoga practitioners.  It consists of a series of Modules.

Module 1 is presented here, and the remaining modules will be added over time.

All modules are a combination of different aspects of yoga practices such as deeper hatha yoga, raja yoga, kriya yoga, swara yoga, mantra yoga and nada yoga, and their practical role in building a bridge between your physical, mental and spiritual life.  They also include aspects of Ayurveda and yoga as therapeutic tools.

Different philosophies and scriptures will also be discussed which demonstrate how to apply these philosophies in your everyday life.

Most of the modules will be available online as well as on site in Rishikesh

This course is aimed at those who are seeking traditional teaching for application to modern times, and to help, inspire and motivate others who are at different stages in their yogic path.

Who is eligible?

This course is open to all those who have completed an RYT 200, 300 or 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course.

Only those practitioners who are willing to dedicate a minimum of 200 hours of personal practice for each module which revolves around the content of that module, should consider applying.  These personal practices have to be done systematically (by establishing a set time for the practice each day, and being dedicated to upholding that time as much as possible, according to your circumstances).

You should only apply for the next module once you have completed these 200 hours of practice.

MODULE 1 – 14 DAYS

The focus of this module is to develop inner clarity through the practices of stillness.  The particular combination of the subjects teaches yoga practitioners how to combine the sciences of yoga and Ayurveda in day to day life, and how to use this knowledge to help others.

  1. Deeper practices of hatha yoga asana, pranayama and mudra practices.
  2. Philosophy – Baghavad Gita, especially Chapters 3 & 4 (which teaches you how to develop your inner trust, how to stand by your convictions, and how to be spontaneous with your life).  It also helps practitioners learn how to face their fears, and to transcend them.
  3. Samyak kriya – deeper Himalayan kundalini awareness practices.
  4. Tattva Shuddhi – the five elements of existence, how to find the balance between them, and their overall connections to our holistic health.
  5. Swara yoga – its practical application, and its holistic connection to our physical/mental health.
  6. Collective wisdom – how to develop individual awareness towards the experience of the collective wisdom which resides in each person – this is essentially the path of yoga.
  7. Ayurveda –
    1. its application,
    2. its origin, and
    3. its role in building a practical holistic life, e.g. understanding the nature of the body and developing an appropriate diet using specific herbs and spices.
  8. Personal practice – after completing this module, you are required to dedicate a minimum of 200 hours of personal practice which revolves around the content of the module.  You should establish a set time for the practice each day, and be dedicated to upholding that time as much as possible, according to your circumstances.
